Ladies Event

The 2012 Amateur Ladies World Cup of Golf will run alongside the men’s event and will be played over the same golf courses on the same days. It will also include all the same accommodation, entries, gala dinner and entertainment.

At the end of the 4 days golf we will Crown a Ladies Amateur World Cup of Golf Champions team. The winners of both the Ladies and men’s event will be presented with the same trophy and will receive the same prizes.

All that is left to be decided is will the ladies beat the men with the best overall 4 day score?

Tournament Format: 4-Person Team event.

Team Format: 2-Person best ball ¾ handicap.

Definition: "2-Person Best Ball" is a best-ball competition format in which the teams consist of two players. Played as one team vs. another, whether stroke play or match play, it's simply another name for Four Ball. Each player on the team plays his own ball until completing the hole, then the lower of the two scores is recorded as the team score for that hole.

Golfers will play off of ¾ of their handicap. Shots apply to index of holes.

The two, two ball teams combine their score after each round to get their total score for the day.

Total team scores will be displayed in the Gleneagles hotel each evening in order of position.

The team with the best score after 4 days play are crowned Champions.

Schedule of play and selection of courses:

Each 4 person team will play all 4 courses over the 4 days of the event. A draw will be made in advance of the tournament to see which teams play which courses each day. Once your teams course schedule has been made you will then go into a draw to see which other country your two ball will be paired with for that days play.

Example: Ireland B v China C, Killeen course, tee time 11.20 & 11,35am Monday 11th June 2012.

This will be the same for both Ladies and Mens event.
